Family Word Snacks: Pneuma & Anatomy

Words, and our understanding of them, our mastery over them, offer more than knowledge; they give atmosphere to our voice, essentially connecting us all.

pneuma: [noo-muh] (n) the vital spirit; the soul; a person’s creative energy

in a sentence: Many believe after we shed the shell of our earthly bodies our pneuma rises and lives on immortal.

anatomy: [uh-natuh-mee] (n) the human body; the science of how humans, animals, and plants are put together

in a sentence: Have you ever sung the song “Heads, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes”? Well, that’s a song about human anatomy!
