Back-to-School Tip: Making New Friends

This tip from the tip jar comes from Danny in Toronto, and it’s a timely one! Your child probably started school recently. My kindergartener started today, and for the first time we talked about how to make new friends. She’s been in daycare and school since she was in diapers and could give me a tip or two on the topic. But today she felt out of her element. That’s why Danny’s helpful tip jumped out at me, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you.

Tuned In Parents - back-to-school tips for making new friends

The important thing is that we talk to the kids about not having unrealistic expectations about instant popularity. Applying the simple tips above will get them started until they find their own way. I would add at least one more to the list: BE YOURSELF.

What would you add?

Thank you for being tuned in parents. I welcome your comments, suggestions, and tips! There’s more for you, too, on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest!
